Level-5 May Have Two Unannounced Games For Tokyo Game Show

Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney leads the way at this year's Level-5 Tokyo Game Show booth. The long awaited 3DS crossover will be playable in the Level-5 booth alongside Fantasy Life (3DS), Professor Layton and the Legacy of Advanced Civilization A (3DS), Layton Brothers Mystery Room (iOS), Little Battler eXperience W (PSP/PS Vita) and Inazuma Eleven Go 2 (3DS). Inazuma Eleven 1,2,3 (3DS) and Inazuma Eleven Atsumeyoze!! (Mobile) will be video-only.

The company's Tokyo Game Show portal shows to "coming soon" slots. New titles perhaps?

die hätten das gerät von den beiden fetten kabeln befreien sollen, das vermittelt nen falschen eindruck.
aber irgendwie hab ich das gefühl dass das spiel perfekt für wiiu wäre

Ich find, dass es garnicht so schlecht aussieht. Schon lustig den Bildschirm zu drehen und das Wasser bewegt sich dazu halbwegs korrekt. Bei der Wii-Demo wirkte das nicht ganz so direkt und ist natürlich ein anderes Gefühl, wenn man den Controller neigt und die Geschichte sich auf dem Fernseher abspielt.
Wii U würde, wie du sagst auch sehr gut passen.

This week's Famitsu is a must for Ace Attorney fans. The magazine has looks at two Ace Attorney games: Ace Attorney 5 and Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney.

For Ace Attorney 5, the magazine says that Phoenix Wright is the main character. He has a new partner, a mysterious girl in yellow clothing. This girl will be a central figure in the game .

Layton vs Ace Attorney got a major ad on the magazine's back cover. The ad itself is a puzzle which Tales Source, which picked up the magazine in advance, says appears to indicate a November 29 release date for the game

Ace Attorney 5 Demo Set For Tokyo Game Show

Tokyo Game Show attendees will get an early chance at playing Ace Attorney 5, as Famitsu reveals this week that the game will be playable at the event later this month. Capcom has prepared a fifteen minute demo, and will even reward those who line up with a special strap as a gift.

As we reported earlier, Famitsu confirms Ace Attorney 5 as a 3DS title featuring Phoenix Wright as the main character. The magazine also introduces a mysterious girl who wears yellow. She's a key person in the game, and will be properly introduced at Tokyo Game Show.

Ace Attorney 5 is set one year after the events of Ace Attorney 4 and sees Phoenix Wright return to being a lawyer. The game's first chapter involves an explosion at the courthouse. The charged is a high school girl named Shinobu. She's very week and can go into spasms at any moment. In the courtroom, Wright will face off against Winston Payne's brother.

Famitsu has just three screenshots, but they hint at some new gameplay systems. Like Layton vs Ace Attorney, the game will have fully 3D characters. It appears that you'll be able to select to give certain facial expressions during testimony, as there are facial expression icons on the lower screen.

Based off the reports we're reading from people who get Famitsu in advance, Shu Takumi is not fully involved with Ace Attorney 5, as he's busy on Layton vs Ace Attorney. The magazine lists Motohide Eshiro as producer, Takeshi Yamazaki as scenario director, and Noriyuki Iwadare on music.

Updated on September 5th, at 14:50: We have since been told by Capcom that it is "planning to release Ace Attorney 5 in the West". Capcom will "have more news soon".

Capcom has confirmed to me that Ace Attorney 5 is indeed coming to the U.S. Here's their statement:

Capcom is planning to release Gyakuten Saiban 5 (Ace Attorney 5) in the West. We'll have more news soon.

A Capcom representative also clarified that they use "West" to refer to both the U.S. and Europe.

Following a report by Pocket Gamer that Ace Attorney 5 for the Nintendo 3DS is being released in western territories, we decided to write in to Capcom ourselves, in order to confirm the situation.



Brian Keltner, PR Manager at Capcom, confirmed to us:

Ich finde es weder überraschend, dass ein neues Ace Attorney kommt (5 Teile in 7 Jahren) noch dass es in den Westen kommt (kam bis jetzt jedes).
Außerdem find ich die Serie recht lauwarm aber das ist meine persönliche Meinung.
