Starcraft Problem

Guten Abend


In einem Rausch von Nostalgie habe ich grade mal wieder Starcraft samt Erweiterung ausgegraben und installiert. Lief soweit problemlos.

Das ganze soll unter Windows XP mit SP3 laufen.

Nun habe ich folgendes Problem und zwar wird mir, nachdem ich das Spiel im Kompalibilitätsmodus starte, folgende Meldung angezeigt:

"Starcraft kann eine benötigte Datei nicht lesen. Möglicherweise liegt ihre Starcraft-CD nicht im Laufwerk[...]"


Kennt jemand das Problem bzw kann helfen? Google ergab keine brauchbaren Treffer. BW ist selbstverständlich.



Das Problem tritt auch weiter auf, wenn man den Patch 1.15 ausführt. Zwar wird der Prepatch ausgeführt, jedoch, wenn das Spiel gestartet wird zum patchen, erscheint genannter Fehler erneut.

den fehler habe ich merkwürdigerweise auch manchmal, obwohl seit dem letzten patch ja keine cd abfrage mehr kommen soll.

ich habe es einfach damit gelöst, daß ich ein mini image mounte. damit kann man nämlich dann auch weiterhin ins battle.net

Damir der noCD funzt muss man auch folgendes tun:

StarCraft and StarCraft: BroodWar no longer require the CD while playing the game. To play without the CD, please follow the following instructions:

Windows Users:
- Make sure you have "Hide extensions for known types" unchecked under Explorer Folder Options.
- If you own only StarCraft, copy "INSTALL.EXE" from the StarCraft CD to your StarCraft folder and rename it to "StarCraft.mpq".
- If you own StarCraft: Brood War, copy "INSTALL.EXE" from the StarCraft: Brood War CD to your StarCraft folder and rename it to "BroodWar.mpq".

Falls das nicht hilft, dunno Mini Img geht natürlich immer...

Oh, sorry, hab vergessen zu erwähnen: die CD befindet sich im Laufwerk. Der Fehler tritt sowohl mit der von Starcraft als auch mit der von Broodwar auf.

ich hatte damals ein ähnliches problem mir hat das hier geholfen ich zitiere es mal

Here is the fix for the problem.

Close antivirus. ZoneLabs and a couple of other will prevent the install.

Follow the next steps carefully.

1. Either cold boot with disc in drive or hold shift after putting disc in to stop Autoplay.

2. Open My Computer. Right click the ROM drive starcraft is in and select "explore".

3. Go to Edit and choose "select all".

4. Make sure every item is highlighted and then choose copy.

5. Make new folder on harddrive. Paste copied items into folder.

6. From folder on harddrive, double click install.exe

7. Wait forever. Grab a drink. Retire. Write out your will.

8. After a while, the install window will open. Follow prompts.

Note: You will have to follow the same procedure to install brood war expansion.

STEP 9. Don't be a smartmouth to people who are trying to help by saying things like "You didn't read my post carefully" when the helper is reading hundreds of messages a day and is starting at square one. Your original post was not clear, nor does typing out that you did something mean that you did it correctly.

Danke schonmal für eure Antworten. Beides probiert - ohne Erfolg. Weiterhin die selbe Fehlermeldung.

Lad dir einfach mal die neusten Patches (da kam letzten November noch einer!) von der Blizzard Seite. Ähnlich wie bei Warcraft 3 wird der Kopierschutz abgeschaltet. Interessanterweise läuft der Titel bei mir ohne Kompabilitätsmodus, da auf den neuesten Stand gepatcht. Außerdem wird, da das Spiel schon sehr alt ist, nun nicht mehr die ganze Rechenleistung moderner Prozessoren für die Krümelgrafik verschwendet.

Tjoa, nach mehrmaligem Neuinstallieren - auch unter Beachtung der gegebenen Tipps - keine Ergebnise. Sobald ich patche möchte Starcraft starten und er erscheint die Fehlermeldung...

Vielleicht hat einfach die CD 'nen Kratzer oder irgendwas; benutz doch deine sicher vorhandene Sicherheitskopie

Ich hatte das gleiche Problem.

Geh auf die blizzard-battle.net seite und gib deinen cd key in deinem account ein, dann kannst du dir das Spiel komplett herunterladen und es verzichtet auf die cd-abfrage.
