Time Travelers: Time Stop System and Yuri's Scenario Revealed
The Time Travelers official site was updated today with new story, character and gameplay details.
The story section reveals that each of the game's five main characters has his own unique story. Getting the first introduction is Yuri Fukase, an 18-year-old high school student who's top in his school in both academics and sports. As previously detailed, he has some connection with the Lost Hole incident from 18 years back, a time when he'd just been born. It's something that he does not (or maybe cannot) reveal to others.
Yuri's scenario is titled "High School Student." The scenario begins with Yuri heading to the lab to fulfill a promise of some form. He goes up to the roof and sees Mikoto (the girl who appears in all five scenarios in a slightly different form). Mikoto asks him, "Can I kiss you?"
Yuri gets a mysterious mail suggesting that he investigate the lab. He and Mikoto arrive at the lab to find that it's been sealed off.
The site's gameplay section finally introduces us to some of the gameplay systems that will take Time Travelers beyond your typical visual novel.
Time manipulation does feature into the game. You're able to freeze time, an action known as "Time Stop," and rewind the story. This will allow you make different selections.
The Time Stop feature is capable of jumping between the five main scenarios. For instance, lets say you're playing "Detective Chapter," which features detective Soma Kamiya. The screens below show Kamiya getting hit by a car. That car has news caster Hina Fushimi as its passenger. Execute a Time Stop, switch to Hina's "Caster Chapter," and you'll be able to make her driver avoid hitting Kamiya. Spared from a car collision, Kamiya will run off to his destination.
Other gameplay systems include PCE and TIPS. PCE stands for "Playing Cinema Event." It's just the game's fancy name for Quick Timer Events.
TIPS refers to detailed textual information about the game's characters and world. As you read the game's dialogue, you'll find that some words are highlighted blue. You can tap these to link to a TIP about the highlighted term. The game includes over 400 TIPS, some presented with movie files.

Time Travelers: The PCE System and Kyugo Shindo's Scenario
The Time Travelers official site has the latest gameplay and character details for Level-5's multi-multi-multi platform adventure game.
Joining the Tips and Full Voice Full Motion system that we detailed last week, the site introduces the game's PCE system. PCE is short for Playing Cinema Event.
We previously assumed that PCEs were just Quick Timer Events, but they're actually half way towards mini games. These sequences require that you press buttons in time with on-screen prompts. In one example, Yuri Fukase has to practice laughing. It's up to you to press A with good timing to make him laugh. Another example involves Kyugo Shindo. You'll have to press buttons to guide his partner into a sexy pose. Finally, playing as detective Soma Kamiya, you'll have to press buttons with good timing to face off against an armed opponent.
Last week, we were introduced to Yuri Fukase's scenario. This week, it's Kyugo Shindo's turn. As previously detailed, Shindo is a former genius scientiest who now uses that big brain of his to cheat people of money. He'll even go so far as to convince people that he knows the future.
In Yuri's installment, Mikoto, the girl who appears in all five scenarios in slightly different roles, was a girl who wants to kiss Yuri on the rooftop of their school. In Shindo's scenario, Mikoto is Shindo's daughter.
An early part of the scenario shows Mikoto as a child, asking her dad why she has no mom. Shindo gives her the watch her mom left behind. The date on the watch, April 28, 2031 at 11:00, appears to have some importance.
As the main part of the scenario begins, we see that Shindo has borrowed 30 million yen in research funds from Enjiro, head of Enjiro Emotion Entertainment. Shindo and Mikoto are fleeing from Enjiro's thugs towards Cylinder Lab. Mikoto ends up falling into the hands of the bad guys. Shindo will have to come up with the 30 million yen by 17:00, or Mikoto's life could be in danger.

Vielleicht werd ichs mir dann holen und kann was dazu schreiben, auch wenn es nur eine Art 3ds-Heavy Rain zu sein scheint. (muss ja nichts Schlimmes bedeuten)

Wenn das nicht in Europa kommt, dann werde ich echt aggressiv. Ich hoffe ja auch immer noch auf Rising Star in Sachen 999-2 aka Good People Die.
999-2 müssten sie nur noch hier herausbringen und das Bit für die Regionssperre kippen. Aksys hat doch schon die gesamte Arbeit gemacht. Ich hoffe aufgrund des Vertrags zwischen beiden Publishern, von dem bisher scheinbar nur die Amis etwas haben.

eigentlich interessant diese wechselwirkung... is ja im grunde die japanische weiterentwicklung der visual novels, also quasi das was die heavy rain typen auch machen. denn genau so wirkt das spiel ^^
Unlock the "Time Travelers Phone Mode" in Level-5's New Adventure Game
The fun doesn't end when you've cleared the main story mode in Level-5's multiplatform adventure game Time Travelers. The official site reveals today that clearing the game will open up a new mode of play: TT Phone.
That's short for Time Travelers Phone. Level-5 hasn't said exactly what this mode is, but it does describe it as "shocking."
Screens show what looks like a cell phone interface for placing calls and checking your mail. Other screens show heroine Mikoto in various outfits performing actions while facing the player.
The obvious guess would be that this mode will allow players to communicate with the game's characters, but we're going to have to wait for a followup report for details.
morgen beim nintendo direct würd ich das auch nicht erwarten... da vergehen noch einige monate bis es so weit wird... mind noch 2 oder 3 davon (also nicht monate sondern nintendo directs)
High Marks in Famitsu For Level-5's Multiplatform Adventure Game Time Travelers
Time Travelers was the big winner in this week's Famitsu review scores. The multiplatform adventure game from Level-5 and former Chunsoft great Jiro Ishii scored 9, 9, 9 and 9 on both PlayStation Vita and 3DS. (A PSP version is due one one week later.)
Other scores this week include 8, 8, 8 and 8 for Resistance (PS Vita), 8, 9, 7 and 8 for Pocket Soccer League (3DS) and 8, 8, 8 and 7 for Taiko Drum Mster Chibi Drgaon and the Mysterious Orb (3DS).
son gutes altes text adventure wär nun nett... wobei, im grunde isses ja mehr heavy rain... oder is heavy rain mehr wie das? bei all dem geklaue behält man doch kaum noch den überblick :7
Time Travelers is a game about time traveling, directed by Jiro Ishii - the directore of 428 on the Wii. It is his first project since leaving Chunsoft and joining Level 5.
omg, das soll ja verdammt gut gewesen sein. Aber erstmal auf konkretes Gameplay warten. Ein Adventure als Evolution aus den Visuellen Novellen hört sich mehr als interessant an. Auf solche Spiele warte ich schon seit Ankündigung.
