Natürlich werdet ihr nicht waffenlos in Horizon Zero Dawn auf die Jagd gehen. Aloy besitzt die Fähigkeit, natürliche Materialien mit Maschinenteilen zu kombinieren und in geniale Waffen, Munitionsarten, Fallen und Werkzeuge zu verwandeln. Wer den richtigen Gegenstand zur rechten Zeit einsetzt, kann selbst die größten Maschinen zu Fall bringen. Dummerweise sind die größten Maschinen nicht unbedingt die gefährlichsten …

Horizon Zero Dawn is set in a lush, beautiful open world where nature has reclaimed the ruins of a forgotten civilization. It is a world where mankind is not the dominant species, and highly advanced machines sit at the top of the food chain. You play as Aloy, a young outcast from a tribal society, who has learned to hunt the machines. Intent on unraveling the many mysteries that surround her, Aloy embarks on a quest that will lead her to discover her own destiny.
Along the way, Aloy will face off against an entire menagerie of machines – some traveling in herds, others roaming in solitude, all of them presenting a formidable danger. You will need to learn their behaviors, attack patterns and weak points in order to survive. You must use the beautiful environments to your advantage, and employ stealth, agility, and cunning to approach your prey unseen.
Of course, you won’t be hunting unarmed in Horizon Zero Dawn. Aloy is capable of combining natural materials with machine parts to turn them into ingenious weapons, ammunition, traps, and tools. Davon ab wurde mit John Gonzalez auch der Lead Creative Designer / Lead Writer von Obsidian Entertainment (wohl der Storykpf hinter New Vegas angeheuert, ebenso einige weitere Leute die wohl nicht ganz verkehrt sind für ein (OpenWorld) RPGGuerrilla games has been working on a PS4 game, rumored to be an open world RPG code named Horizons, and the studio seems to be indeed seeking experts in that field.
Back in February, it hired CD Projekt RED’s Lead Cinematic Artist Pawel Swierczynski and Quest Designer Dennis Zoetebier, and today we discover that they just hired Senior Technical Designer Shadi Dadenji this month.
Technical design is a key role in the development of open world games, that are made of many more moving parts than your usual linear game. Dadenji worked extensively on the systems that allowed The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to work.
-Designed and implemented various gameplay systems
-Supported quest and open-world designers with scripts and tools
-Took ownership of certain editor features and enhanced their usability
-Provided debugging support for a wide range of AI and UI issues
-Liaised between engineers and designers to ensure optimal communication
-But his expertise in open world games doesn’t stop there, as he covered the same role at United Front Games, working in the same role on the lovely Sleeping Dogs.
Lead minigame designer:
-designed, prototyped, and implemented all minigames
-Worked with UI, audio, animation, and art departments to achieve solid gameplay and quality
-Supported mission designers with scripts and high-level gameplay dependencies

Guerrilla Games never worked on open world games nor on RPGs, so it’s not surprising that they’re trying to nab as many experts in the field as they can. It’s a big shift in genre, and considering how good The Witcher 3 is, looks like they’re hiring the right people.
