News Verlauf:
http://andriasang.com/comy0n/beyond_the ... y_details/Beyond the Labyrinth was unveiled a few months back alongside tri-Ace's new PSP RPG Frontier Gate. While Konami has been hyping up the PSP game, they've been pretty quite on the 3DS title, only sharing a few screenshots of a white-haired girl whom many believed to be the main character.
It turns out that the girl actually isn't the main character. She's the main character's companion. The main character appears to be you -- the player. Your goal is to reach the exit on the top floor of labyrinth. The girl accompanies you.
The genre for Beyond the Labyrinth is "3D Dungeon RPG." As you explore the dungeon, the lower screen draws out a map for you.
You'll encounter enemies along the way. Run into an enemy -- they're visible in advance -- and the game will switch to battle mode. The battle system is a bit mysterious at present, but it seems as though you can have four members in your party.
Who those members are is also a mystery, as outside of enemies, the only character shown in Famitsu's screenshots is the girl. The screenshots do clearly show a party of four, though, with the characters given generic names like "Konami."
http://andriasang.com/comys6/The game's official site was also given its grand opening today. You'll find the following sections:
Story
This just describes how you meet the mysterious white-haired girl character in a massive dungeon. You're not sure why you're there.
World
This area currently shows the game's labyrinth. There are two other areas that are left blank at present.
Character
Currently just an introduction to the mysterious girl character, who goes unnamed. She apparently got lost while exploring the surrounding valley which is said to house a sealed magic of some form and is not to be approached.
System
This shows the game's exploration, trap/gimmick and battle components. You explore alongside the girl, sometimes leading her and sometimes being lead. Your aim is the dungeon's exit. The game's battle component involves facing off against the creatures that roam the dungeon. The girl fights alongside you, and while she's only capable of throwing stones at first, she gradually gets stronger.
http://andriasang.com/comyto/Konami's direct sales site Konami Style will be offering a couple of limited edition version of Beyond the Labyrinth that are loaded with goodies, some of which may have a direct effect on the game.
The game's "special version" includes the Beyond the Labyrinth 2012 AR Calendar. Konami says that this item will be compatible with the game's AR functionality, although it has not yet said what that functionality is.
The special version will be sold for ¥6,690, a bit more than the ¥5,800 standard version, and will include an original Beyond the Labyrinth cleaning cloth as a bonus. Konami Style will also offer a ¥9,315 Complete Set, which, in addition to the calendar, includes a 25 track soundtrack from composer Motoi Sakuraba. As a bonus, this will include both the cleaning cloth and a poster.
Konami Style lists the soundtrack on its own as well, priced ¥2,625 and due out one day ahead of the game, on January 18. The site does not list the calendar on its own.
http://andriasang.com/comyu6/As detailed yesterday, the Konami Style limited edition version of tri-Ace's 3DS dungeon RPG Beyond the Labyrinth includes a 24 track soundtrack from composer Motoi Sakuraba. Today, the Konami Style listing was updated with samples of ten tracks from the soundtrack.

http://andriasang.com/comyxj/A few weeks back, Konami's online Konami Style shop said that it would be bundling a "2012 AR Calendar" with an exclusive limited edition version of Beyond the Labyrinth. Today, we finally learned what this item is and how it will be used in the game.
The AR calendar is a monthly tabletop calendar that has AR markers which you can scan with your DS. Scan a given month, and the game's white-haired heroine will appear in AR form dressed in a variety of costumes.
The girl will also appear in costume in the game after special events.
Konami shared a brief video showing the AR component in motion. Here's the girl during showing her excitement as the sakuras bloom.

The AR Calendar is a Konami Style exclusive item. Konami Style only lists it as part of two limited edition bundles, and not on its own.
http://andriasang.com/comz46/In tri-Ace's 3DS dungeon RPG Beyond the Labyrinth, you'll get to create your very own costumes for the heroine character who serves as the face for the game. 4Gamer shared a few screenshots of the process today as part of an interview with director Takayuki Suguro and art director Kentaro Kagami
The costume creation tool was created from scratch, explained Kagami. Suguro joked that they knew players would want the ability to change the characters' costumes, but because creating costumes would be a lot of work for the designers, they decided to let the players create the costumes for themselves.
As you can see in the screenshots, the scribbles that you make on the lower screen are reflected in real time on the girl's clothing in the top screen. You can also change other areas of the girl, including hair color. Your edits can be saved to SD in JPEG format.
It looks like costume editing will be the only change you can bring to the girl. The game does not have any love components where the girl's behavior will change based off your actions.
http://andriasang.com/comz6j/beyond_the ... th_videos/Konami and tri-Ace shared a bunch of gameplay videos and screens for Beyond the Labyrinth today, showing off some of the unique features of the game's battle system. Check out all the media below!
In Beyond the Labyrinth, you transition seamlessly into battle when you encounter an enemy. The battle system is turn-based, but a bit different from other RPGs in that rather than selecting a command, you select the strength of your attack and your target. The stronger the attack, the longer the character will have to wait for his next turn.
All characters except for the white-haired girl has one of three elemental properties. These three elemental properties have a paper-rock-scissors relationship. When selecting your target, you'll need to keep the elemental in mind.
Some attacks will make the enemy's HP float off into the air. The next character will be able to suck up the HP, but only if he's of the same elemental property as the enemy that released the HP.
All this means that order is particularly important in the Beyond the Labyrinth combat system.
