Yoshitaka Amano is doing the art and Nobuo Uematsu is doing the music. Dream team is back.

Fantasy life is co developed by Brownie Brown.

Es handelt sich hierbei um ein JRPG, welches erst für die Nintendo DS angeküdnigt wurde, aber nun für die 3DS erscheinen wird.

Hm, was da am Ende bei rum kommt? Bin mal gespannt. Wäre schön, wenn schon früh jRPGs auf dem 3DS verfügbar wären. Vor allem für ein richtiges Tales of, das auch bei uns erscheint (nicht wie beim DS ...), wäre ich heiß drauf. ^^

@spielgrafik: hoffentlich hat sich was getan. die grafik sieht etwas zu sehr nach SNES/GBA aus und mit 3D effekt wärs auch nicht viel besser ^^

Tales of the Abyss ist aber nur ein Ableger der Hauptserie, nicht ohne Grund hab ich "richtiges" geschrieben, was soll das auch sonst bedeuten?

Fantasy Life Release Date Announcement Coming Next Week

We've been waiting years for Level-5's Fantasy Life, but the wait may at last be coming to an end. This week's Famitsu promises a release date announcement for the game in its next issue. That issue hits next Thursday (with the information usually leaking out one day in advance).

Famitsu also has a new look at the game, so we'll hopefully get some new details later today or tomorrow.

The brief summary of Famitsu's article at Tales Source only lists information we already know: development by Brownie Brown, music from Nobuo Uematsu, image illustration from Yoshitaka Amano, support for Spot Pass, Street Pass and local play, and a release time frame for 2012.

Level-5's Fantasy Life: New Screens

Level-5's Fantasy Life resurfaced in Famitsu this week with a full preview and word that a release date would be announced in next week's issue.

The magazine and Famitsu.com also shared screens and details showing your main town, Kulbruk. This town has a castle, a market, a fortune tellers house, a fashion shop (where you can buy clothes for your character), and other facilities.

Where you end up in the town will depend on the "life" that you select to play as. If you select the life of a member of the royal army, you'll frequent the soldiers' residence. If you live as an artisan, you'll frequent the largest building in town, Kulbruk Studio.

Fantasy Life's world has a day-night cycle. As you play, time will progress and the day will turn to night. Kulbruk will transform accordingly, with homes lit up and smelling of dinner, and special shops that can only be accessed at night. You'll also meet certain people only at night.

Speaking of Level-5 and open world games, while it may not have an "epic" feel Fantasy Life from Brownie Brown is essentially an open world RPG. You start the game by picking a job and Level-5 included everyday occupations like postman and street entertainer. Players can also opt for a traditional RPG class like hunter or mercenary.

Pick Kingdom Soldier and your job will be keeping peace and harmony in the village. Soldiers have to chase criminals, defeat monsters, and protect the village.

Wizards specialize in magic. They can create fireballs and heal friendly characters. It looks like Fantasy Life doesn’t differentiate between white and black mages. Each job has a different mentor and if you pick this job a black cat named Krome teaches you the ways of the wizard.

Hunters are one with nature and can attack enemies from afar using a bow. These guys can also gather fruits and vegetables on the field and bring them back to town.

Mercenaries don’t belong to any country. They travel from place to place as a hired sword looking for their next job. Mercenaries live life without ties.

Fantasy Life is slated for release this December for Nintendo 3DS.

Ich vermute, dass die Europa-Veröffentlichung vom Erfolg in Japan und Animal Crossings abhängt?
Irgendwie reizt mich das Spiel mehr als AC.

es ist level 5 und die haben wohl nicht zum spaß nen lokalisierungsbetrieb eröffnet. ich denke dass die chancen nicht schlecht stehen.
nachdem ich gelesen hab dass es monster hunter aspekte haben soll, zu 4. losziehen um drachen zu töten *hust*. reizt es mich auch sehr. und nun wundert mich der unglaubliche erfolg in japan kein stück mehr.

In celebration of Fantasy Life's commercial success, Level-5 announced today that the game will be getting an online mode through paid DLC in 2013.

Aside from the online mode, the paid DLC will add a new quest to the game and increase the characters' level cap. Level-5 promises that more content will be coming in the future.

The company hasn't released details like pricing or a release date for the DLC.
To further clarify my previous point, they also confirm that aside from adding new quests in this paid update, there will also be changes to the game world. Definitely a mini-expansion.
